Its shelve life is one year and it can be still used if it is qualified
after retested.
3. APPLICATIONS
FB resin can be used to prepare HTR adhesives and coatings, new type
anti-burning materials, C/C material, insolating materials, compound
materials, friction materials, inflammable proof materials and refractory
materials to be therefore applied in space-flight, aviation, military,
electro-machinery, mobiles, electronic appliances, chemical anti-erosion,
the high temp covering film sand in oil fields, abrasive materials/brake
blocks, HTR brake shoes, film gelatin, the adhesives for lamp/lights’
head etc, especially suitable for blended with carbon fiber, graphite
and common 2123# hydroxybenzene.
4. PACKING
FB resin (solid) is packed in paper/plastic drum with plastic bag inside
or paper/plastic compound bag and the options from 20kg~25kg packages
can be selected by customers. The liquid FB resin is packed in metal
drum of both 20kg or 200 kg.
5. APPLICATIONS
(1) Crush the FB resin properly (the smaller granular, the faster resolving
speed), after that fill same quantity industrial alcohol to be immersed
for approx. 24 hours to let it resolved, the resolution can be quicken
if toss, stir and heating be made. On the container bottom, if small
quantity of turbid substances can be seen, it will not affect the use
and no need to separate since the larger molecular particles resolved
slowly under normal temperature. Then add other material portions if
necessary, and now the binding and gelatification can be done.
The solidification process when it is under adhering: 120 oC/2h + 150oC/3h
+ 180oC/2h.
(2) The following process relating to hydroxybenzene can be referenced
in case to prepare compound materials: raise appropriately the hot molding
temp, heating temp and prolong the processing time.
(3) In case prepare epoxy-solidifying agent, add the epoxy into the
alcohol base FB resin and well mix, after that it can be applied. Its
desired weight ratio is at 1:1(FB resin calculated as pure stuff without
taking the resolution into account).
The solidifying process: 120 oC/2h + 150oC/2h + 180oC/3h.
(4) In case manufacturing the anti-friction-substance, directly grind
FB resin then mix with other materials in same proportion and finally
mold.
FB88#,FB89# -- SPECIAL HIGH-TEMP RESISTANCE RESIN
FOR FRICTION MATERIALS
1. FEATURES:
This product is a kind of powder with the thinness between 80~200 mesh,
which is especially fit for making high-temp resistant (HTR) resin mainly
applied in friction materials of dry method and it can be also solved
in industrial alcohol to make the friction materials of wet method and
used as the binder to produce sand wheel of high performances. Mixed
with FB88#,FB89#, the high-temp resistance and other performances of
common thermal plastic hydroxybenzene (e.g. 2123#) can be improved.

3. USAGES AND APPLICABLE METHOD
FB88#,FB89# used as resin base can be directly mixed with rubber and
other fiber fillers to become the material for molding. For the molding
process, the relevant technology of normal hydroxybenzene and the molding
temperature should be 10-20oC higher than the normal hydroxybenzene
resin, moreover the longer warm-keeping time and thermal treatment’
time and temp should be maintained.
This series products used as brake blocks and discs’ base resin have
been applied in the scale production and research has also done such
as for brake blocks and discs for quasi-high speed and high-speed trains,
high performance carbon fiber disc type car brake, poly (terephthaloyl
-p-phenylenediamine) fiber enforced car brake drum, brakes for diversified
engineering machineries, high performance clutch discs, resin base of
C/C compound materials, binder for special sand-wheels etc. – an excellent
high temp resistance basic material for brakes of super characters.
FB88#,FB89# can be used in the manufacture of anti-high temp refractory
materials too.
MODEL F-51A, F-52B NEW TYPE
HIGH TEMP RESISTANT EPOXY SOLIDIFICATION AGENT
This series is a solidifying agent of hydroxybenzene base of high temp
resistance, the A type, of 200 mesh, can be directly applied in epoxy
resins and B type, of 100 mesh, can be solved in industrial alcohol
to be prepared into alcohol solution of 45% concentration. The test
result at 15~20MPa (room temp) shearing strength can be gained on the
steel strip sample bound with epoxy glue prepared with the said solidifying
agent, even it can reach 6~10MPa when it is at 300 oC and it still assumes
optimistic strength in case the steel strip sample under 400oC/1h sudden
cooling then down to room temperature. It can make epoxy-coating materials
of HTR too, with the features of HTR and acid/alkaline resistance.
Model F solidifying agents and Model Epoxy E-51 at iso-weight ratio
show the solidification substance’s decomposition temperature at approx
380 oC and remains 38% residual carbon at 800 oC.
When the customers have the epoxy resin solidified with F alcohol solution,
the solidification method of 180oC/3h should be adopted.
MULTIPLE FUNCTION EPOXY RESIN SOLIDIFYING AGENT
– SP RESIN
1. FEATURE
SP resin is a new and multi-function epoxy base-solidifying agent with
the virtues of solidification, rigidness, improvement and anti-inflammability.
It is fit to use with acid anhydride family solidifying agent and its
binding force is 1~2 times stronger than the single cid anhydride epoxy
solidification, the anti-impact strength is 50% more than the former
and the solid substances’ inflammability proof can be improved as well.

Add 0.5g HK-021 liquid acid anhydride (the actual

SP 0.2 and then test it.
3. APPLICATION
SP resin can be used in high-temp/low temp resistance binding, the filling
of resin base compound materials, insulation materials and immersed
oil motors and the sealing/filling of electronic components etc.
4. SP RESIN APPLICATIONS
1) SP resin is a brown viscose liquid suitable to be used with solidifying
agent of acid anhydride and however it cannot be utilized with amine
series materials. We recommend the recipes as follows: first mix well
the 50% liquid acid anhydride, 20% SP resin, then add 100% #618 epoxy
resin evenly tossed after that you can use it.
2) Solidifying Process
120 oC/2h + 150 oC/3h + 180 oC/1h, the binding shearing strength (#45
steel strip test sample to be under sand blast) can reach 330kg/cm 2.
It can approach over 350kg/cm 2 if added with CTBN to improve the impact
performance and inflammability dramatically. The mentioned recipes’
OI value is at 22.3 and can be solidified at 180 oC/3h.
3) SP resin, if at the low room temperature will assume gelatin-like
and can be melt if heated appropriately.
5. SP resin is packed in paper drum with plastic drum
inside and 10kg~15kg per package.
